School Choice Educates the Educators

lartigue-low-res1.jpgCasey Lartigue has an excellent post about how school choice can help us figure out how to improve the educational process so we can do a better job teaching our kids. Innovation and improvement characterize every part of our economy where consumers have a choice and producers face competition (rather than holding monopoly powers). Hey, whaddya know, competition is a discovery process!

Lartigue also points out that the operative word in “teachers union” is “union.” Many of their “solutions” solve the union’s problems but don’t do much to help struggling kids.
