Parents Prefer Having a Choice

kids-are-the-same.jpgSometimes you read a report and your only reaction is, “well, duh.”

According to a new study on Milwaukee’s school choice program, low-income parents are happy to have a range of options about where to send their child to school rather than being confined to a government-assigned “option” that might not be working for their child. From the article:

University of Colorado researchers are issuing a report that says low-income parents in Milwaukee are happy with the range of choices they have for their children. The report also says those parents select schools in ways that aren’t much different from higher-income parents elsewhere.

Also in the news, children prefer ice cream to sardines and I prefer a hug from my sweetheart to being beaten with a red-hot fire poker.
