Superintendent Jim Rex has rarely been on the same side of the ball as The Voice for School Choice. His aggressive agenda to keep parents from having real freedom in education has pretty much established Dr. Rex as the embodiment of what needs to change among South Carolina’s education leadership. Regardless of our significant differences, the Superintendent showed admirable common sense in the following statement from a Post and Courier editorial.
“I wish there was someone who could ride in on a white horse and change things. But it’s a South Carolina problem and something South Carolinians created over decades. We’re the ones who will have to solve it.”
Now all that remains is for Dr. Rex to show the same common sense in supporting a feasible education reform measure already widely supported by South Carolina families: comprehensive school choice.
